Marc Skovby was born and raised on the East coast of Jutland, Denmark, where Sea Trout (sea-run Brown trout) was the main target in the small local rivers and the sea . . . fishing has always been a big part of his life and since the late teens a passion and a lifestyle . . .
At the age of 17, Marc moved to Western Jutland to work fulltime on conservation of the Danish lowland Atlantic Salmon and has been for the past 15years !!
Marc is a certified guide on the historical River Skjern and runs Skjern River Guiding from where he both guides and teaches casting as well as private fly-tying sessions.
Besides Sea Trout Marc chases just about any species on the fly from Grayling and Salmon to Pike, Wels Catfish, GT and Bluefin Tuna having travelled and fished for them in numerous destinations around the world . . . in his home waters it’s mostly the Sea Trout, Salmon, Pike and Seabass that draw his attention.
