Marit Kronen is 54 years old and lives near Oslo, the capital of Norway. She has tied fishing flies for more than 20 years, and some of the most skilled fly tiers and anglers in Norway were her teachers.

A few years ago, she wrote a lot of fly tying articles in the Norwegian Hunting and Fishing magazine. She was also in the Norwegian Guideline Power-Team for more than 10 years. She has been a fly tier for Team Norway in four World Fly fishing Championships. She was a member of the jury in World Tuscany Open 2010. She has also been to the British Fly Fair International several times.

River fishing for trout and grayling is her favorite type of fishing, with a tiny dry fly on tip of the leader. Glomma River and Rena River are natural choices all summer. One week every summer, she is “hunting” sea trout in one of the most famous rivers in Western Norway.

These days, she tie flies for the Norwegian Women Fly fishing Team, who will be fishing the European Fly fishing Championships in Italy.
