'the 2004
American Carp Society Team Nationals ' The 2004 ACS National Championship
event was held at Hominy Lake in Oklahoma on October 27th through
to the
30th.
The
Podium (picture) ended up with: Brian Capien & Mark
Reece (3rd place team with 56 lb 14 oz), Paul Pezalla & Al
St. Cyr (1st Place with 168 lbs 15oz), Zach Van Fleet & Brian
Nordberg (2nd place with 129 lb 7 oz). Hominy has been a prolific
big fish water for several years now, countless low thirties
and even more 20's have been captured. It
is one of the most challenging venues that we have encountered
and is a perfect destination for this type of event with the
surrounding foliage in its full glory at this time of year.
This
was the first year for the ACS National Championship. The 2005
World Carp Cup (WCC) will also be hosted by The
American Carp Society. Participation will be open to the
public and ACS membership is not required. Further
information
can be obtained at events@americancarpsociety.com

pleasure in congratulating them with the result. Partridge
is now also a proud sponsor of the team. Paul and Al will be
fishing the WCC on the St. Lawrence River this June. Carp fishing
has for quite a number a years been the fastest growing fishing
discipline in Europe. More and more fishermen in USA seem now
to realise how challenging and exciting carp fishing really
is. A steady growing number in the fraternity of carp fishermen
is a proof of how fascinating this discipline really is.
