Nordic Fly Fishing Day

Some say that 95% of the time fishing is spent waiting. Waiting for the hatch, better weather, the right moon phase and mostly the rivers and waters opening for fishing. Luckily springtime is filled with a rooster of specific trade shows and meetings.

Partridge Pro team member Thomas Züllich does not have a weekend free at this time travelling from show to show. Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th May he attended a very successful Nordic Fly fishing day In Elverum, Norway. The event was held at the Skogmuseum (Forestry Museum) right at the banks of the mighty Glomma river. Over 1000 visitors were eagerly soaking up all the information that was provided.

Thomas said, 'It was really a great show. The Museum is the ideal location for such an event. The visitors not only had to see us tying, but also had the opportinity to hear great presentations in the auditorium. The weather was very kind, so many had a chance to try the newest latest in rod and line desgin at the large casting pool outside. Not every day one is so lucky being able to cast so many different rods (Bamboo and Graphite) and get high level instructions from the instructors which were present all the time willing at hand. Many thanks To Stein Tore Andersen, Tore Litleré Rydgren, Roger Lie and all the other involved in organising the meet. I am looking very much forward to next year already. I just got home and have to sort my gear and materials and head off to the Villmarksliv on may 9. to 11. in Hamar, Norway. I hope to see many of you there."
