Profile: Barry Ord Clarke

Born in England, Barry Ord Clarke is an internationally acclaimed and much published photographer and writer, including several photographs in the National portrait gallery collection in London. He is a regular contributor to numerous fishing magazines world wide, and has a monthly fly tying spot in 9 different fishing magazines. He has also co-written and contributed to more than 20 books about fly fishing and fly tying.

Specialising in game fishing and country sports, his work has taken him all over the world. He is also House of Hardy Ambassador for Norway. He operates his own stock photo Library, and is part owner of a large hunting and fishing shop.

Barry is currently working on, what he calls, his most challenging project to date, photographing (in a controlled studio environment, with a uniform background) all the major insects found in Europe, that are of importance to the fly fisherman.

For the past 6 years Barry has lived in Norway with his family in the town of Skien, where he spends his free time fishing and Moose hunting. With regard to work, photo archive and commissions, Barry can be contacted at:
