HERITAGE PARACHUTE HOOK Partridge of Redditch
is revising several ranges of hooks which were very popular in the
past. The series of hooks will be known as the Heritage Series.
The idea is to make these old hooks available to
fly tyers throughout the world.
The first of the series will be the Parachute hook.
They are modelled on the pattern which was made by Partridge some
50 years ago. There is a subtle difference in that the Parachute
spike on the hook is deliberately longer. The hook can therefore
be held in the vice by the spike and the Parachute hackle can be
tied on the hook in the same way as a normal hackle and the spike
can be clipped back (using pliers) afterwards.
The Parachute hooks (code HE1) are designed for
parachute dry flies which are ideal to use on waters where delicate
presentation is needed.
