PARTRIDGE STRAIGHT EYE STREAMER HOOKS
About 1982 this hook was made as a prototype carp hook but it was
thought that it was too long and not really strong enough.
It was at a time when ""lure" hooks were being more
widely used in the UK and it was recognised that this hook would
be an excellent "lure" hook for such fly patterns with its long
shank, its low water salmon bend and its straight eye. It was accordingly
adopted as a "lure" hook.
However, since "lure" is used to describe all types
of mono-fly baits outside the UK, the description "lure" was dropped
and replaced by its present name. For streamer and large attractor
flies. In smaller sizes also good for longer nymphs. Forged flat
bend. Bronze finish.
The
perfect pattern for bucktail or streamer flies.Wide gape 4XL shank,
1extra heavy wire. Finish: Bronze.
